CHARACTERISATION
- Detection of impurities, degradation products,
- Determination of shelf-life, normal or accelerated conditions,
- Active ingredient(s) quantification.
DERMAL ABSORPTION STUDIES
Identification of absorption and/or metabolisation processes after topical application onto the skin:
- Using in vitro models such as Franz cells, on animals or human skin,
- Finite or infinite dose,
- Occlusive or non occlusive system
IN-VITRO METABOLISM
To determinate metabolic or enzymatic activity induced by a new active ingredient:
- Metabolism enzymatic identification,
- Induction/ inhibition studies,
- In vitro and in vivo metabolic profile,
- Microsomes and hepatocytes.
ANALYTICAL METHODS
To quantify accurately active ingredients or metabolites in all the substrates and compartments generated, the extraction procedures and analytical methods used are fully validated.
- Quantification of radiolabelled entities by liquid scintillation counting,
- Quantification of non radiolabelled entities by various chromatography technics, mainly LC/MS-MS.
